Ava is a London-based British-Indian independent documentary filmmaker and photographer collaborating with communities to tell stories and using factual documentation to explore social issues. She works as a shooting assistant producer on feature documentaries and factual television, alongside pitching, directing, scripting, producing and shooting branded documentaries for artists, charities and institutions.
She holds a first-class BA degree from Goldsmiths University in Media and Communications specialising in documentary film and her final project won best documentary at an international film festival. Her photography has featured in arts magazines. She was chosen to participate in the Sheffield DocFest 2025 Amplify Production Talent Scheme. She has undertaken training in cinematography at Raindance Film School and archive producing at Four Corners.
